This screening is organized within the framework of the exhibition "After /D'après / Na" by Vincent Meessen as part of CIVA's collection-based transdisciplinary research initiative Research in Residence.

During the evening, three videos will be screened and discussed. Shot in Burkina Faso, "N12°13.062'/ W 001° 32.619' Extended" looks at the relationship between the construction of the planned city by urban planners and its reverse: the excavations in the so-called irregular city made by the people themselves.

The second video, "Dear Adviser", is a dreamlike fable shot in the Capitol of Chandigarh, the capital of Punjab and Haryana, India. The Capitol, designed by Le Corbusier in the mid 1950s, brings together the executive, legislative and judicial authorities.

Based on unpublished archival material, "Wild Architect", the third video offers a maze-like reflection on Utopolis, an abandoned project for an experimental city on an island in Veneto (Italy).  This anonymous found footage is based on unpublished footage filmed in the 1930s by Le Corbusier and his entourage.
