Workshop: Walking from Scores

The 'Walking from Scores' workshop is open to artists, musicians, performers, students, and alike, interested in exploring in a post-disciplinary way the relationships between sound, listening and the everyday environment. The participants discover the possibilities of walking in the urban space and in the meantime broaden their view of and relationship to that environment. The four-day program combines practical and theoretical sessions dedicated to walking, listening in motion and moving performance. Participants are invited to re-enact the scores of the collection, to dialogue and intervene in the specific context (environmental, institutional, social), to put the body into play in space, to practice listening in connecting with the other and the world, to invest in collective action, to reflect on the aesthetics and politics of sound in urban space... No particular music making or performative skills are required, but a collaborative and exploratory attitude is essential.
