Wool making, discovery of the city, sculpture workshop

During this workshop, participants will discover how to prepare wool to make thread, create woven objects and build a life-size yarn sculpture to embellish our city life!

I explore thread: from sheep to thread, from thread to weaving, from weaving to object. I explore the links between line and volume through sculpture and weaving, inspired by a visit to a farm in the city.

BILINGUAL WORKSHOP FR/NL

Animators: Auranne and Pauline.

Auranne, interior designer, is passionate about the multitude of ways to "inhabit" a space and the variety of architectural and artistic representations linked to it. She willingly experiments with natural and recycled materials using participatory design methods. For her, transmitting and accompanying our young minds in the development of their ideas is a pleasure.

Pauline Dornat is a textile designer specialized in the valorization of local wool. Through her project "BlackWool", Pauline spins, dyes, weaves and makes each of her pieces by hand and gives numerous trainings in order to transmit her knowledge to a public curious to reconnect with the craft. Her work is also part of a dynamic of awareness around local materials and crafts in general.
